We’ve been diggin’ The Morning Benders for a few years and as we’ve gotten older so have they, bravely taking on the task of creating an entire covers album. Indeed, The Morning Benders have created an entire FREE album titled The Bedroom Covers mainly due to the fact they were all recorded inside their apartment with one mic on one laptop. The 12.5 song album (a new industry standard) contains quite the assortment of songs from artists like Talking Heads and Velvet Underground to Roy Orbison and Paul Simon. One of the covers happens to be the song from the beloved Baz Luhrman-directed Romeo & Juliet soundtrack, the first soundtrack I ever remember purchasing with my own money (that’s a big deal to a kid) at the age of 10. There isn’t really any rhyme or reason to the selection of songs they’ve chosen to cover other than the band’s warning.. “Disclaimer aside: if you want to hear some kids having a lot of fun playing some of their favorite songs ever, check these out!”
